As it was my boyfriend’s last day of work before his Christmas hols, I decided to cook him a lavish meal this evening to celebrate.
We started with Champagne and smoked salmon canapes (not homemade I’m afraid, Tesco’s finest.) Then we had scallop and mushroom gratins with langoustines. These were delicious, thanks delia.
Finally the masterpiece, beef wellington with fat chips, chanteney carrots and a red wine sauce. Wow! I love a bit of fillet steak. A bit decadent, but it is Christmas!
