Kirstie’s Handmade Britain – Episode 3.

Last night we saw Kirstie take on needlework as she entered her very own cushion into the needlework competition at the Great Yorkshire Show.  She also had a go at freestyle machine embroidery which looked like a lot of fun.

Needlwork has never been my strong point  but I suppose that shouldn’t stop me from having a go.  If anything, it should encourage me to have another try but I will have to  wait until after Christmas. I’m hoping Santa will leave a mini sewing machine under the tree this year, then I can get practising.

Here is the link to Kirstie’s embroidered cushion.  It wasn’t really my cup of tea if I’m honest but I’m sure the techniques could be applied to a more modern design.
